Welcome to the 16th African Nutrition Leadership Programme participants!
The 16th African Nutrition Leadership Programme started yesterday, Tuesday 6 March 2018, and will run for the next 10 days at the Elgro River Lodge in Potchefstroom. What an exciting time!
This year, we have 28 participants from 16 different African countries, including Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Liberia is represented for the first time this year. The participants come from a variety of nutrition backgrounds, including government, NGO and academia.
We would like to warmly welcome all participants to this unique leadership programme and we guarantee you that you will experience a fulfilling journey of personal development and self-growth. You may take part in some unexpected activities, meet some very interesting people, make a few new friends, push yourself more than you thought you could, and reach the end of the 10 days feeling physically and emotionally exhausted, but fulfilled and re-energised to lead and progress the nutrition agenda in Africa.
The Strategic Communications Committee will be co-ordinating daily blog posts throughout the course of the 10 days, and we would like to invite all ANLP alumni, as well as anyone interested in strengthening nutrition leadership in Africa, to please take some time to read the daily blog posts. We are sure that the participants would appreciate any contributions, whether it be a word of advice or simply some words of encouragement and support.
Good luck to the 2018 ANLP participants, make the most of this special time.
